Mamoru was good, but i wish you had more time with the coloring and layers, besides that, the ending with dr. pye was totally unexpected, nice!! But, M.E. charms comic, although short, was the better comic in my opinion, and his ending was just as unexpected, so good job! Hoppe hot chick wins

wow, this is close to call...really close to call. I rarely see anime style done so professionally even if it is just for a few pages of color, those pages kick ass Mamoru! But then I look at the epicness of hot chick and the flame effects and I drool a little bit. Both of you get major props.

These pages are so awesome it hurts my eyes.  I love the way you do Fire effects, M.E!

Mamoru: Your artwork was beautiful. Even though the color stopped halfway I found it amazing. I really would love to see the second half in color at some point if you have the motivation. The story was good as well. I gave you the edge overall because your artwork was higher quality and I understood your story alot better.

Which brings me to M.E. Charm. I had a harder time following the story in your half. The artwork is pretty good but is overshadowed by Mamoru. It was just too hard to get into. It didn\'t capture my imagination and thus you got lower scores. Not to say I didn\'t like it, but you were outclassed in this one by a superior opponent.

glad you two kissed and made up on your own terms. that is very mature of you, and such action is appreciated very much.

but please ANYONE who has a problem with ANYONE ELSES comment, please approach that person directly instead of littering this area which is resevered for the artists critiques.

as for the comics.

you guys broke alot of eggs, sweated over the stove, but your omlettes didnt sit well with me. in short, both you guys have all the skill, i just cant help butthink it could be put to better use.

No sweat, was just using the statement as an example. Wasnt trying to really get on you. Just i have seen people say stuff like that often in comments.

Physic, I\'ve told Mamoru, but I\'ll say this too. I think Mamoru\'s story was more solid, more consistant, and also better. I liked the art more and I simply preferred the fight. I didn\'t say this, my fault. I thought Mamoru\'s was better when it comes down to it, anyways. Don\'t think I\'d vote so shallowly.

Ji, cept for the loss of color mid way though,... the quality of this fight is what i wish i could see out of every fight on void.  This was spectacular!!!  And the UNDEAD MECH BEAST!!!! OMG!!!! You had me all the way to the color goin B&W.  All in all, this is Anime fer ya, and I LOVE IT!!!!!

Art wise i think they are both on similar levels. Its weird you guys strengths and flaws are very similar. I think though hotchick\'s pacing is a lil better, and the story although its what you expect, is executed better than the ji kei story. I rated it very close maybe 1 point difference.


Oh yeah someone up there who said he voted for ji kei so hot chick will never default, what that about. Judge based on he comics presented, not who you want to win based on something that has little to do with the actual work. Alsways seems crazy to me when i hear some one like OMG  i had to go with _________ cause he had a red shirt! Or im sorry your story and art was great but i just love jimbo the crab so he had to win. Try to be at least based on the planet of what happened in the fight people

wow. I\'ll be honest. I ddn\'t want to read any fighter that was a robot animal slash pyro..but now I see why characters such as Hot Chick and Ji Kei were awesome. Its great to know some of the originals are still around and can still write, draw, and in general create such work. I love the use of the same ideas but from the perspectives of two opposing characters...and the inner struggle of Hot Chick as well as the introduction of some other oldies. I salute you all!!!

Mamoru, you know what I think.

Charmy, I absolutely love Hot Chick as a character, but you kind of take the charm out of it by losing his chicken status. Also, I sort of fear he\'s going to be dragged into the ground if he lives. I don\'t want to see Hot Chick default ever. I like him too much for that. So, I\'m giving it to Ji Kei. If you want Hot Chick to live, I suppose you best work on some Beyond Battles and bring him back yourself.

Also, you totally should have had him say \"I\'M A REAL BOY NOW.\"

Mam i enjoyed youre fight, like it was said before the big deamon thing could have been used more. A couple of the action panels bugged me alittle since they were done from a profile shot but other than that i couldnt find much wrong with your fight. I dug the ending, it was a reasonable conclusion.

Charm i actually knew the story of your fight before you posted it, no joke. Its a bad thing when people become predictable in their writing style. the art was decent enough i mean it was done in a week so that commendable but some of ji kei,s facial expressions looked funky.

Mamoru, I wish you would of finished your half, but I think you kicked the most ass you\'ve had all throughout this tournament!

Mamo: OK, the colored pages were fucking awesome dude, I know you ran out of steam halfway, but they still look sharp! Even the black and white parts are amazing to look at. I scored you even with charmy because you actually put in backgrounds in almost every panel of your fight, the story was very easy to read but I\'m afraid that due to the panel cuts you made kinda made things just a bit choppy at times. However it was a much better read out of the two comics here honestly, no cheese whatsoever. My vote is for you, now take a break and get some rest dude!

Charmy: You ain\'t gonna fucking listen to me, but once again it\'s the same ol\' shit you\'ve done all throughout this tourney: Hot chick meets opponent, opponent is in a sad miserable state, Hot Chick gets sad and miserable as well, and kills opponent with tears in his eyes as he moves on.

Wash, Rinse, Repeat, and you\'ve got the basic formula for writing a Charmy brand Hot Chick comic! This one was especially bad! Not only was this whole story just a load of cheesy stereo types we\'ve seen from him before, he loaded it with the most corny dialog I\'ve ever heard

\"ALL BEAUTY MUST DIE!!\"

... All beauty must die? I was laughing my ass off at the fact that you literally had him say \"I love you, but I must kill you!\"

Once again this is the same colored comic with hardly any backgrounds whatsoever, a horrendous looking off model opponent (I know there\'s freedom of interpreting the character as you see fit, but he could try to make Ji-Kei look like a beautiful human instead of a shaved furry), Hot Chick weeping once again over his latest kill (Well, we all saw this coming didn\'t we folks? He cried over killing a fucking robot!), and the most cheesy story I\'ve read so far really make this more of a comedy than the tear jerker. I put his quality on par with mamoru\'s half for being more complete, but this story is the stuff B-Grade movies are made of people.


I know I\'m pretty biased when it comes to Charmy and his stories, but this was just too much! Vote goes to Nishikawa!

I think M.E. Charm should win this one again. Mamoru, you really put up a fight and did a good job, but it seemed like you didn\'t have enough time to finish things off. I also thought Charm\'s ending was really cool with the train blasting out of the ground.

Even though Ji Kei\'s art was absolutely amazing and the story was pretty good I was still much more interested when reading hot chicks comic cus I liked the story much more and was just more entertained, though they were both very good. My vote defiantly goes to hot chick though.

Well, strong fights from both of you, but Ji Kei got my vote.

Mamoru: I agree with Mokuu, it\'s very hard to find anything to critique about your comic, your anatomy was good, your fight scenes were excellent. I don\'t know why this fight is so close.

M.E. Charm: Drama does NOT equal crying all the time. If you would\'ve dropped the crying act, and not completely over power your opponents, you might get more votes. Please work on faces please, this looked very rush, and I expected more from you from your other fights.

Haha, of course it\'s centered on Hot Chick.  It\'s a friggin\' Hot Chick comic.  DURRRR.

Mam:  It looks great.  Especially the colored pages.  I noticed a few slight inconsistencies here and there, but they\'re not too distracting, and don\'t hurt anything.  The story, while not ground breaking, is pretty interesting and brings a nice ending to the SRT.  Overall, it was good, and I think you deserve the win.

Charm:  I honestly can\'t tell if you\'re a bad writer or a comedic genius.  I don\'t see how anyone could read that and not laugh.  And I\'m mad at you for taking away the best thing about Hot Chick >:|  Well, not really, but still...  Anyways, the art  seemed rushed, but was quite good overall, like usual.

I wonder what would happen if it ended in a tie...

I think people are missing that my comics centering about Hot Chick and drama is the entire point.

Checked out Hot Chick first and i was quite interested by how the story developed, of course the dark side thing was a bit cliche and what crashed it was Hot Chick pulling off a one hit kill on Ji Rei just like that. It feels too centered on Hot chick you know what i mean? Look at Mamoru\'s entry. he brought back the terrible two, added the fact that hot chick had their baby and what saving them would do for his character\'s soul. A complete wrap around the whole situation from multiple point of views. And another thing is, his character had a \"struggle\" she had a hard time fighting hot chick, it lasted as long as it could then PAFF! TWIST ! That\'ll get your entertainment scores high.
Charm, i really want you to explore those kind of story flow, dont go Shin Akuma on everyone and win fights pulling off one hit kills like the Raging Demon or demolishing them without any resistance. Explore the other character\'s personalities, past, current objectives, motives and blend it with your current character\'s mission. And also, do not bath in drama all the time, sure your character is dramatic and had a shocking past, now the best thing that could happen to him is if he breaks free and lets go of the drama due to events that\'ll make him stronger. SURPRISE TWIST ! Its not something people would expect from the character and WHAM you get a whole new perspective on this character.

Mamoru: What can i say about your work that hasn\'t already been said about Udon comics.....its clean....its brightly colored......Jeez your making it hard for me to find anything to criticize, are you. Very well done, yet i would have loved to see some more contrast with Hot chick\'s flames (it was around the same color and tone as the background.) And to really push things further would be to have even more texture effects on certain elements in the background or using atmospheric perspective.

Mamoru wins this hands down.

Mamoru-5 CG pages? I\'d have pissed myself with glee if I hadn\'t taken one a minute ago.  Quality and pacing was great but I\'d have liked to see that monster do more than throw one punch and disappear from eveyone\'s radar.  Bringing the Terrible Two back was awesome.

M.E.Charm-I loved the story that\'s been built up, and having Fik take over Ji Kei\'s body was ingenious.  You\'re colors were superb and I\'ll forgive the lack of backgrounds for you\'re clever use of an abandonded train tunnel as the setting.  But you\'ve got 2 things going against you in my book.  
1.  The lineart was very sketchy in some places.  I know this was a rush job having only 1 week but facts are facts.
2.  You\'re still overpowering you\'re opponants.  I\'d like to see some weakness in your characters beside emotional frailty.

Whoever wins this deservs it.  Good luck in the future to the both of you.

holy CRAP. . .i just read both and DAMN if theres not a reason YOU TWO ended up in the finals. . .DAMN good job. . .both had sweet twist endings but i gotta say hotchicks ending not only threw me for a loop but also set up a sweet new character AND a pretty clever play on the name hotchick when mixed with Ji kai who indeed still is a hot chick. . .

mamaru yur first three pages were golden. . loved them . . .and the way you made hotchick fight and move was frickin sweet..

Charm yur version was just as pimp. . altho i think you made ji kai a little too rolly polly in her anatomy when i think shes supposed to come off as a vixen.

she was still cute tho. . for my votes i had to give the slight advantage to Charm. .it was just too complete. . and i really wanna see the character move forward. .

DAMN NICE effort tho mamaru you are still an icon here.
