I honestly thought Lord Onyx\'s line-art was far superior to billeh\'s...  It\'s just that billeh covered his up with grayscale (which I didn\'t like at all, a little blending, please)...  and Lord Onyx did do better action scenes.  Lord Onyx\'s art did have some flaws, but they aren\'t that damning in my opinion, and his story and entertainment factors are far better than billeh\'s.

Lord Onyx for the win.

Billeh: The comic was ok, something that have been personally irritating me is that first, you added an \"excuse page\" now not to be mean but we don\'t give a damn that you think you suck a paneling, you learn by trying and failing and trying some more. If you ever placed anything like that in a commissioned comic book work for DC or any small time company, you\'d get fired on the spot. Show us some pride for your work, not excuses. Second thing that was irritating is you were explaining what the characters were doing with added text even though you already ILLUSTRATED the action. That either means you think you badly drew the character\'s movements and you thought you needed to clarify it to the audience OR you\'re taking the audience for people who cant understand shit; which is worst. You have to make sure that your actions read clearly to spare yourself the extra text and show us how good of an artist you are. Use perspective, negative space, contrast, all those fundamental techniques to make your panels read clearly and ditch the whole added info text. You don\'t need it if you play your skills well. Keep going till you drop, thats all it takes to improve.

Onyx: More detailed background bro! At least an indication of plane change with different tones, this really feels like your characters aren\'t grounded and constantly float in the air yet i admire the way you are directly involving your opponent\'s story in yours sequences but it still feels a if you could have added more, or somewhat of a deeper conclusion on the issue. Sure he completely dismembered those masked people but are they going to reveal any information on the kid, are they going to keep a file on Takk in order to track him down and analyze him. You know just something to push it further.

Good Job guys i just have to sat to you both becareful to remimber the negative space, and i not sure but it seem that you both used a editing program (Photoshop) so if ya gonna go their with it then things like no back grounds should not be an issue! AND please dont take this the wrong way guys ( or anyone eles) manga style is starting to look so \"DONE\" i love it too but i still want some one to tell the diffirence between my art style and someone eles!

But no matter what ALL WAYS keep drawing no matter what is your style!

I\'m surprised no one bothered to comment on this battle so far.

Billeh:

Now your comic is quite of a good quality, good sense of paneling and perspective. Great tone and values as well. Also a plus for your backgrounds.

Creativity-wise, you didn\'t accomplish much. As far as I can see, it\'s just Ghas dealing with one what seemed like a battle-obsessed monster, which seems a bit unfair, since his bio stated that though he wanted to be strongest, that didn\'t indicate that he was ruthless to everyone who picked on him. Seems a bit unfair and you threw out whatever potential and personality he had as a character and made him a brute of a monster instead.

The dialogue had some humor in it though, and I liked page 2/3 in particular. Expressions are pulled off well here.

Entertainment-wise, it was rather okay, but the semi-cliffhanger at the end didn\'t seem quite suspenseful, since it was all in a little panel. Nothing added much to the plot or character development, seems like your generic-monster-encounter-escape scenario. But page 2/3 entertained me much, at least.

Lord Onyx:

First of all, maybe you made the first page a bit too wide. But it was understandable.

You did a good start and all, but that\'s when it started to set in - the sparseness of your comic. I mean, you did a good deal of well-drawn, unorthodox paneling, but there was still a lot of white space to deal with. I\'m not sure, if you didn\'t have time to add in your colors, or if that was what you intended.

The action was good though. You were faithful to your opponent\'s backstory and personality and even tied in very well with his conflict with the government and sack-headed minions. You managed to pull off showing both their powers to an extent, though it seemed like Takk did most of the fighting around (it made sense since Ghas wasn\'t the type to fight that much). A plus for entertainment and creativity, overall.

Still, it would been better to add some gray tones throughout the comics, like what you did with the second page. Just like what you did with the background surrounding Ghas on page 2. That definitely offset the empty space there.

Overall:

Billeh won with good art quality, but Lord Onyx good points for creativity and entertainment with faithful character development and tie-in to each other\'s backstories.
