Oh man, great fights/comics you two!!
Both of you have incredibly nice art, wow. Radically different styles but both look real slick. Votes are leaning towards Graphyte Ronin, good grasp on paneling and storytelling and oh that dialogue + ending were just hilarious.
This was a very well-matched battle, keep it up, guys!

That figures, this is the third battle I\'ve had that was this close.

Historical precedents show, however, that if it\'s near tied on the last day, I\'ll lose.  (Draco vs Phill, Kate vs Kotori)  So lemme say in advance, congrats Neko-- I gotta brush up on my skills if I want to keep up.  :D

man, folks around here just keep getting better. if neko would have done this good, there is a chance that she could have gone a round or two more in the qov... and graph pulls some neat stuff too.

my only qualm with this two parter is the issue of the two epos... though graph has told my that there is a plan in action here... well i guess i\'ll just have to see how it turns out.

till next...

DJ: You definetaly were not kidding when you wanted to surprise me on this battle. You worked you ass off and it paid off! I even liked the way you bought back the past in the storyline when Epo hacked into the mainframe. I can\'t say enough, so I\'ll stop here.

GR: The awesome meter was just that:  Awesome. I loved the comedy you added and the imagination you gave Kate to take Epo down.

I was truly entertained reading both battles.

Nice comics from both of you.  I scored them pretty close, but gave the edge to Graphyte.

DJ-I love the glowy lighting effects that you used.  I\'m gonna agree that Epo looks a bit mannish in some of her panels.  The ending I found a little weak.  But other than that, it\'s a good battle.

Graphyte-your art is very clean.  I like that.  The thing with the belts, I liked that too.  I don\'t really have any constructive crits for you.

Good job, both of you!

You learn color isn\'t everything. I tried to hide some seirously shitty lineart in the color. But this battle was for the sake of story line so I didn\'t really put as much in it as I probably should have.

Now that armageddon is comin\' I\'m giving it my all and you\'ll deffinatly be seeing something COMPLETELY different from what I\'ve normally done.

God, only one person has commented on this? Speak up, bitches!

Well, Neko, your art here is better than I\'ve ever seen it, I think. Those colors are GORGEOUS, especially the lighting effects. Your story was kind of predictable and short, though, so you got merely adequate marks from me in Creativity and Entertainment. I wish you\'d do something more creative with Epo, because she\'s such a cool character. Either she gets in trouble for hacking, or someone tries to fuck her shit up at the arcade. You can do a lot more with her than the obvious stuff implied by her character description. Throw her into an odd situation. Use some deus ex machina. Your art has reached a truly impressive level; now work on levelling up your storytelling.

Ronin, I really like Kate\'s new design. Your lighting effects are also badass! Though smooth shading wins out over cel shading in my book. Your dialogue was interesting, and the pacing was nice, but not superb. I would have liked to see the battle progress a little faster, maybe throw in some more turnabout. That stuff was good! I feel like I\'m talking in fragments here. Anyway, your story beat Neko\'s, edging out a win for you from me. The belts thing was a nice touch! That\'s the sort of creativity that makes battles interesting to me.

Good fight! Now I\'m pumped for Neko\'s Armageddon offerings!

Good battle all-around.  Story-wise, they were pretty much equal.  Entertainment and creativity votes went narrowly to Graphite Ronin, for the good mix of humor and game mechanics.

Art-wise, though...

DJ Neko - Your coloring is sublime.  Your action sequences flow, and your general anatomy is solid.  But the faces... yeesh.  Not to be mean, but I\'m kinda lost as to when Epo became a teenage boy who apparrently suffers from down syndrome (ex. ANY Epo face shot).  And if those chins were any pointier, you could gut a fish with them.  Look anywhere but the faces and your quality is top notch.

Graphite Ronin - Coloring was slightly drab, but still above average.  Less finely detailed than DJ Neko\'s.  Anatomy and posing was not quite up to DJ Neko\'s level, but your faces and chins were infintely more feminine.

Art vote went slightly to DJ Neko.  Overall, Graphite Ronin wins it in my book, but narrowly.  Quality work from both of you.

Oh yeah-- this is the same story basically, Epo\'s part comes first, and Kate\'s is second.
