Shortfury: the thing is, a tournament storyline is what everyone else is doing, so why do i have to follow suit? If this storyline doesnt fit in with the rest of the entires, then i think i\'ve done my job in going a different direction from everyone else.

After reading 4:00am\'s story a couple of times it was easy for me to see what was going on. The absence of dialogue makes it seem almost dream-like.
With 6.5 billion people in the world now, 300 mil in north america where I conjecture the majority of Void creators are located, a person is going to have to work a little in order to understand a comic pitched into such a broad audience

What can I say? V. Nizzle had a storyline, Bubble Gum Girl didn\'t. I liked Early Morning\'s art better, but without dialogue I was just like \"WTF man?\"
I gave Veronica my vote, but the to be continued was disappointing. Good luck!

Both of these could have been much better. There\'s just.. no story to either of these! AT LEAST a indication of the tournament perhaps.
No offense, but I\'m rather dissipointed.
But at least you turned something in.
How come Veronica looks different this time around as well, Kura?
4:00am- This is going to be frank- but there\'s a comic I have that resembles A LOT like your pages. Setting, a few of the same poses. I hope this is just a coincidence!

But Kura thats where I dont get it. You can have a noncombatant character, and still have a tournament storyline. You\'ve just gotta get creative with it.
I hope im not being too much of a dick!! I just really think its out of place =/

post script: I\'m also shooting towards Veronica to be a non-combat character from now on.

to answer shorfury\'s question, I personally dont like \"tournament\" stories. Therefore i had planned to make the entire tournament this court case. If i win and move to the next round, Shrapnel girl\'s witness is the next person i fight. I had i planned to be continued the entire time, completed pages or not.

I with Shortie on the creativity, although I do agree with Heimie on his dislike for to be continued battles....I hate those...they\'re a cop-out.

Kura - Why is this in a tournament match? Theres no mention of the Queen of Void tournament, and you don\'t even finish the whole thing. I\'m not saying that there needs to be a fight, but it should have something to do with the tournament you entered. With all that said I\'m sure you know that your battle was pretty much a rush job, so I\'m not going to hammer you for your sloppy work (although I did in my voting). The writing was pretty plain and the courtroom situation was seriously no fun. I mean you can make a courtroom fun... it was just boring!!
4:00 - This was obviously also a rush job, so again I\'m not going to nail you to the wall with your art, but it did reflect in your score from me. Your comic was more interesting to look through than Kura\'s, but I wish it had some dialoge!!! oh well. I wish there was more downtime in your fights. I want to see more of what shrapnel girl does when she\'s not fighting.
Hope to see better from you guys =P
BTW - Hiemie, I don\'t know where your judgement of creativity comes from. Its not the amount of times something is done that makes it creative. Its the way that the something is handled. So even if you are the first person ever to draw Gary Busey eating cheetos in your comics, unless its actually handled in an entertaining fashion, its just randomly throwing pop culture into your comics to get a reaction. Its aimless and contrived not CREATIVE.

i had to give this one to kura... 4:00am, you got a lot of detail, but everything felt stiff. and the lack of dialogue or sound effects made for a very \'gray\' story.
but in the end, good work both of you. keep it up.

Kura: Although not as good as your previous, I did enjoy this fight. You have been getting better, and I\'ve only seen the courtcase fight done once before, so creativity is higher. Cog\'s \"Dialouge\" was also pleasant. I think you coulda done better with the actual art segment though, and you did another to be continued fight.
4am: Um.... I got nothing to really say. it was a fight comic. The art didn\'t wow me either. There was no dialouge, no pull. I\'ve seen this before. Not really interesting.
Kura gets my vote.

I thought both had there charms fellas.
Kura: While all that white negitive space really dragged down the quality of this fight, storywise you\'ve got the win from me. Although I\'m kinda getting sick of the Too Be continues you\'re doing. If you win it\'d work, but I\'d seriously like to see you finish more fights like you did your Ivan battle dude.
Gaviin: Artwise you would of gotten the win hands down... however I notice something glaring in your fight, it\'s very choppy and without words I have no idea what the hell is going on! First page there\'s... and explosion? Shrapnel and Veronica are in a different dimention? Establishing shots bud! Everytime you change the scene show an establishing shot! Also, why the Toast cameo (assuming that is toast)? He just seems slapped in there just to say hi *waves to toast X3 *. Anywho, storywise you need alot of work. Artwise you win in that catagory.
Sorry to say, but I cannot give my vote to the creator of this fine tourney. Maybe next time?
