Pretty good stuff from both sides, although it seemed pretty obvious that kubo\'s was extremely rushed. I\'ve seen you do better, man, so keep it in mind for next time. Zaffe, yours was very cool, lots of good action and all that, just gotta throw in some backgrounds and establishing shots when you can.

You guys both did very well. Zaffe\'s story really got me interested, it was well written (dispite a couple of grammatical errors here and there) and the action shots were very nice! The crisp line art was very very good as well, good job.

Kubo, good job getting the whole thing colored, points to you there. The action shots seemed a little...eh, stiff I think is the word...and I think the pacing might have been a little too fast, so you might wanna work on that a bit.

Yes, im truly sorry that the language sucks in my comic.
I usaly let my entrys run through a person with english as his/hers native language before i submit, but it wasn\'t time for it this time sence I finished up an hour or so before the deadline ended.
and myself had been up 2days straight to add to my already bad Linguistic Skills.

I don\'t usually nit pick but, what the hell guys. You created such beautiful art, but neither of you took the time to just carefully re-read over what you typed?

Zaffe - good fight man, well paced, consistent in the artwork, and well rounded over all.  Good show.

Kubo - not bad buddeh, but I think you can do better.  The whole thing screamed of \'rushed\' and \'I drew this while watching the Incredibles\'.  ;p  Good for you to colour it, but seriously, spend more time on your linework and bgs and it\'ll make a big difference.

Zaffe: Great battle! It was nice to get to see a little of the more dark side of Zaffeus. The story was solid and well executed. Nice job!

Kubo: Allso a good battle. I can tell you had some great idears for the fight but the final result is a little boring. Nice colors.

Judging this battle was made so much easier by the fact that they have pretty much the exact same story line. and by \'pretty much\' i mean \'exactly\'. so it\'s just a matter of who executed it better.
..and i\'d have to say that was zaffe. It was better paced, the characters and story development was more defined and the art was cleaner and tighter. Don\'t get me wrong.. Kubo did a smashing job and i\'m impressed that the whole thing was in color. His art and story telling was good.. but i had to give it to Zaffe on this one.

Zaffe, you drew this fight really well, but some of the action looked really stilted (as was the case with Kubo\'s piece). Also, you need to clean up some of your grammar and spelling.

Kubo...nice debut! I\'d concentrate on cleaning up the art some and refining your storyline.

I had to cut the storyboard shorter to get this done in time, so yeah, i appoegize for that.
But i still hope ya\'ll enjoy it, I\'ve pulled two allnighters in a row to get this done in time.
