Before he was born, there was said to have been a star which fell from the sky. And on that night, everything changed. Before the star, his kind were ordinary insects. But some of the offspring from these insects began to develop in to hybrids, possessing both human and insect attributes. While speech and thought developed, many of the natural aspects of insect life continued, and the cycle of hunting and reproduction exploded in to an arena of giant man-bugs!

Ikk-Ikk (that's the sound his mother made when she called for him, so he guessed that was his name) was born both human and praying mantis. Hunting for food most of his young life had developed his human aspects toward a ripped physique, but Ikk-Ikk pumped himself up even more, which also swelled his ego.

Ikk-Ikk is a gym-jerk, a douche with females and thinks his looks warrant him attention so his personality is under developed and quite vapid. Being one of the biggest predators in the forest, he's yet to come up against something which tests his abilities, but he is too arrogant to think he could lose to anything. He's motivated by his base desires, food and reproduction, but as he finds himself out of the forest, he'll be in for some life lessons...

Abilities:
Ikk-Ikk is a giant praying mantis and is a fierce predator. He has the abilities of a mantis, magnified to epic proportions. This gives him superior reflexes, superhuman strength and his grip will constrain and pierce his victims. His exoskeleton is also super durable and acts as armour. While he is an expert hunter, his experience beyond hunting bugs is severely limited, however his faith in his abilities never wavers. He can jump or fly away from danger but has rarely had to rely on this.
