Biography

The Void City Herald had a problem: the only thing Voidites wanted to read about was fighters, but the journalists covering them were dropping like flies. Some fighters were approachable but many were so dangerous or psychotic that interviewing them was suicide.

Then they found Andrew. Fresh out of college, he wanted nothing more than to be a respectable journalist. When an interview with a fighter went sour, though, he revealed that his control of words went beyond mere writing. Since then he’s been assigned the most dangerous stories since he’s the only one who comes back alive from them.

He can pull words from paper. He generally uses his notepad but any words will do. He can use them as sharp projectiles, form a shield with them, etc. He can also manifest the attributes of a word.

Andrew is extremely even keeled and infinitely patient. He seems nice to the point of naiveté and no one can recall seeing him mad. He’s quite persistent in the execution of his duties, though, and he’ll defend himself if necessary.
