Gibson V is a former lead guitarist of a well-known rock band called The Warriors of Justice. He was the co-founder of the band with vocalist D.B. Jackson, bass guitarist Rick Backer, keytarist Yamaha Suzuki, and drummer Bam Sleishman and lived with the band throughout live concerts and studio recordings for 6 years up until Gibson broke up from the band to live his own life. Ever since then, he hasn't succeeded well.

One night, he stumbled upon a giant glowing crystal out in the middle of nowhere. Drunk at the time, he smashed it with his guitar, only to release the power hidden inside it. All of the energy released from the crystal formed and merged with Gibson's guitar, giving it awesome powers, and well as giving Gibson powers of his own; Super Sentai transformation. So now, everytime he wants to save the world, all he has to do is rise his guitar in the air and yell out "ROCK ON!", in which a bolt of lightning crashes down on him and transforms into Sentai Mode. His guitar also transforms from a junky boring Flying V to a shiny looking Reverse Flying V.

As explained, he has awesome powers. One such thing is that he can shoot out lightning from the headstock of his guitar just by playing it. He can also smash his guitar onto his enemies with such incredible force, yet his guitar will never break from impact.

He now travels from state-to-state, playing his guitar, hoping that one day he be as famous as the band he used to be in. While on the other hand, he beats the crap out of baddies to prove to himself that he is indeed one of the "Warriors of Justice".
